"Yellowstone was probably one of our favorites. The Grand Canyon was another good favorite. St. Louis Arch was impressionable," said Sonny Battle and his wife Karen.
RV dealers said sales are good, and so are rentals. In fact, some places are almost completely booked for the summer.
"NASCAR races are probably our most popular events. Concerts, family reunions, wine trips, weddings," said Great Outdoors dealer Jerry Fitzpatrick.
No matter where you're going or how far you're traveling, one thing's for sure. You won't be roughing it. Nowadays, RVs have all the comforts of home. You can eat at a dining room table, take a snooze in a queen-sized bed, and even curl up next to a fireplace.
"They're a lot bigger than they were 19 years ago. They have slide rooms on them. They have more amenities than ever before," said Fitzpatrick.
"We have the television and the microwave. We have a fireplace in our camper. The only thing that's missing is a jacuzzi tub," said Marcellus resident Anne Arena. Maybe if Clark Griswald had one of these, his family vacation would've been a bit smoother.

"Have fun with it. Everyday is a new adventure," said Battle.
And these travelers said the ride is worth it.
